About the role

We are looking for a Celonis Process Intelligence Data Analyst to join our award-winning Celonis Centre of Excellence. Based in Madrid, you will play a key role in turning business requirements into actionable insights through Celonis dashboards, analyses, and AI-enhanced process intelligence solutions. You will collaborate closely with business and IT teams across Europe, lead value workshops, and work with senior stakeholders to uncover inefficiencies and drive measurable improvements.

You will also work hand-in-hand with our colleagues in the Celonis Madrid office and our Centre of Excellence team in Cali, Colombia, ensuring alignment on methodology, best practices, and innovation. Around twenty to thirty percent of your time will be spent traveling within Europe to onboard teams, deliver workshops, and attend Celonis events.

Your accountabilities

• Collaborate with process owners and various end users to understand their goals, objectives, and requirements to translate them into Celonis requirements and use cases
• Work with data engineers to translate business requirements and use cases into technical and data requitements
• Design, implement, test and validates all dashboards, analyses and reports within Celonis
• Present implementations progress and results to senior executives and business teams
• Lead business value workshops with process improvement and business teams and uses Celonis to identify and qualify opportunities for operational and proves improvements
• Document Celonis implementations and builds a library of use cases and success stories
• Manage and prioritise all incoming requests for Celonis enhancements
• Support and enable end users

Role organisation and scope

This role is part of the Smurfit Westrock Celonis Centre of Excellence, which is split between Madrid and Cali and sits within the Strategic Enterprise and Business Platforms organization. Recognized in 2025 as one of the top eleven Celonis COEs worldwide, our team drives process transformation and value realization across the global business.

You will report to the Centre of Excellence leadership, work daily with local teams in Madrid, and collaborate with international stakeholders to deliver process intelligence at scale. Strong analytical skills, business process understanding, and familiarity with AI and machine learning are essential to succeed. English is required for the role, while Spanish is a strong plus.

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

• Previous experience in process improvement, business analysis or technology consulting - Essential 
• Experience in core business processes (e.g. procurement, accounts payable, inventory management, order management or accounts receivables) and business transformation initiatives - Essential 
• Strong analytical skills, especially in applying technology solutions to core business problems - Essential 
• Proficiency in leading and facilitating workshops and executive meetings - Essential 
• Proficiency with SQL or other programming language (python, R, Matlab…) and a strong interest in Big Data, Data Mining, and Process Mining - Essential 
• Relevant domain/process expertise - Essential 
• Experience with AI, machine learning, or similar technologies to enhance process automation and data analysis - Essential 
• Successfully completed your studies in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Information-oriented Business Administration/Economics, Mathematics or a comparable degree programme - Essential 
• Celonis Data Analyst and Engineer Certification is a plus - Desirable
