The CoE drives SAP strategy, governance, and alignment with business objectives, overseeing end-to-end processes and managing compliance, talent, and vendor relationships. It provides leadership, sets standards, and enables innovation and continuous improvement across SAP functions worldwide.
The Consultant SAP – Order to Cash is a functional and system specialist within the Global SAP CoE, responsible for designing, enhancing, and supporting SAP solutions for the Order-to-Cash (O2C) value stream. This role addresses L1.5+ application support and drives process improvements to ensure efficient and timely issue resolution.
The "Sales" stream covers the full customer order lifecycle—order receipt, processing, fulfillment, invoicing, and payment collection. Using SAP order management, logistics, and billing solutions, the SAP Sales team optimizes delivery processes, enhances cash flow, and improves customer experience.
The role requires strong expertise in O2C and logistics processes to translate business needs into effective SAP solutions. Responsibilities include solution design, customization, documentation, and end-user support.
The Americas O2C team is composed of ~15 FTE, reporting directly to the Manager SAP – Order to Cash The Americas. Occasional travel to SAP CoE hubs (France and Mexico) is required.
1. Support, Business Process Improvement & Project Delivery
Resolve support tasks (L1.5–L3), including BPIs, changes, and bug fixes.
Research and propose process and solution improvements.
Gather and prioritize product requirements with Global & Local Key Users.
Provide delivery estimations; refine requirements into SAP designs and configurations.
Prepare functional specifications and test cases for custom developments.
Perform unit and integration testing; support UAT and assist end users.
Document solution changes, improvements, and business processes.
Deliver training materials and sessions for Regional & Local Key Users.
Execute cutover and migration tasks, ensuring smooth transition.
Safeguard integrity of solutions and ensure compliance with CoE principles.
2. Stakeholder Collaboration
Align with Product Managers on solution enhancements; escalate conflicts with core standards.
Work with Solution Architects to ensure technical feasibility.
Partner with Service Managers to align operations and liaise with Development Factory, Basis, and Security teams.
Collaborate with Project Managers on project delivery, including workshops, blueprinting, design, configuration, testing, training, and migration activities.
All SAP Consultants are part of the SAP Solutions department within the Global SAP CoE. This organization manages the lifecycle of SAP applications across value streams (Finance, Sourcing, Manufacturing, etc.), ensuring solutions provide business value, remain fit-for-purpose, and balance global standards with local needs. It drives innovation, process improvement, and enhanced user experience for all SAP products.
5+ years delivering SAP solutions, including configuration and custom development. (Essential)
Fluent in English (verbal and written). (Essential)
Additional language skills (Spanish or French). (Desirable)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). (Essential)
Experience implementing Order-to-Cash and Outbound Logistics processes in SAP ECC and S/4HANA. (Essential)
Experience with SAP SD and LE-TRA modules. (Essential)
Experience in S/4 TMS. (Desirable)
Experience with LO-VC. (Desirable)
Experience with SAP Cloud 4 Customer (C4C). (Desirable)
Demonstrated SAP configuration, custom development, and preparation of specifications and test cases. (Essential)
Proven track record of design, implementation, and support in complex and regulated landscapes. (Essential)
Understanding of product lifecycle management, value stream principles, and SAP best practices. (Desirable)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with focus on compliance, risk, and data quality. (Essential)
