About the Role

The Coordinator SAP PMO supports the Manager Global SAP PMO in establishing and maintaining a unified set of program and project management standards across SAP initiatives.

This role works closely with SAP Project Managers and plays a key part in continuously improving ways of working, tools, templates, governance processes, and reporting structures across programs and projects.

The Coordinator may also act as PMO Lead for selected projects, which may involve occasional travel.


Key Accountabilities

Project Methodology Development & Implementation

  • Design, implement, maintain, and operate PMO tools, templates, libraries, and artifacts (e.g., RAID logs, workplans, tollgate checklists, stage-gate documentation, reporting packs).

  • Promote consistent adoption of PMO standards and materials across SAP Project Managers.

  • Support implementation and optimization of project and portfolio management tools, including timesheet management solutions.

  • Ensure consistent application of agreed SDLC and PMO standards across SAP programs and projects.

Governance & Assurance

  • Support development and consolidation of program-level reporting covering status, risks, issues, dependencies, and KPIs.

  • Support internal and external audits in collaboration with Risk & Compliance teams.

  • Ensure project documentation meets compliance and regulatory requirements.

  • Assist Project Managers in audit preparation and responses.

Coaching & Capability Building

  • Support the Manager Global SAP PMO in coaching Project Managers on governance standards, delivery best practices, and PMO expectations.

  • Promote knowledge sharing, retrospectives, and lessons learned across the SAP CoE.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and operational efficiencies within PMO activities.

  • Support redesign and rollout of updated PMO ways of working, including processes and tools.

Reporting, Dashboards, Analytics & Quality

  • Act as PMO Lead for assigned programs, ensuring consolidated and consistent reporting through dashboards and executive summaries.

  • Support implementation of program frameworks, methodologies, and tools.

  • Monitor program quality against defined KPIs and the Program Quality Plan, coordinating corrective actions as needed.

  • Oversee project logistics and operational coordination.


Organization & Scope

The Coordinator SAP PMO is part of the SAP Programs department within the Global SAP CoE.

The SAP Programs organization leads major transformation initiatives, new implementations, and business-driven projects across the enterprise. It manages the SAP project portfolio, applies proven project management methodologies, and ensures successful execution from estimation and planning through hypercare.

The team coordinates cross-functional resources, manages risks, schedules, and budgets, and partners closely with both business and IT stakeholders to deliver tangible value and strategic outcomes.


Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

Essential:

  • 5+ years of experience in SAP project management, methodologies, solution delivery, and stakeholder management.

  • Fluent business English (written and verbal).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Strong expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools.

  • Advanced knowledge of governance standards, RAID logs, tollgates, workplans, KPIs, and reporting dashboards.

  • Demonstrated ability to define and enforce project governance, methodologies, reporting structures, and quality controls.

  • Proven experience driving continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Experience working in multicultural, global environments with strong integrity and regulatory awareness.

Desirable:

  • Fluency in an additional language (e.g., Spanish or French).

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to influence senior business and IT leaders across cross-functional teams.
